At "Die Küche im Kraftwerk", homemade food is freshly prepared right before your eyes. Just like a kitchen at home, Die Küche functions as the focal point for engaging mealtime conversations. The hosts, Stefan Scheib and Gerald Fraidl, offer seasonal fare at reasonable prices, including delicious breakfasts, varied daily lunchtime menus, homemade cakes, and seasonal à la carte offerings. If the weather’s fine, the enormous roof terrace on the fourth floor offers a unique view of the Alps and the setting sun. And for the kitchen at home, there are hand-mixed spice mills, fine pure pumpkin, hemp or chili oils, fruit jams, well sorted wines and wonderful treats to take away.
Very good service, delicious food and a nice ambience.
To recommend: Refreshing drinks, excellent food, courteous service, spatially attractive restoration. Insight into the open kitchen and view of the south of Munich and the surrounding area. Always my pleasure.
Dishes are very tasty and I like the ambience. Service is friendly and quick. I always like to eat there.
Modern European cuisine with interesting assortments in the meals. The ingredients are fresh. They also offer luxury meals with truffles or vintage beef dried in their own storage. Taste-wise I thought it was quite mild / bland though. The interior is a modern, stylish, open concept so you can look into their kitchen and bakery. It's also nice that they have an outside rooftop patio, though it's on the same height as the surrounding roofs, not above them.Staff is friendly, service quick, prices high. Currently the lunch menu is limited, if you want to have all options, you should go in the evenings. Reservations are recommended because the place is popular, especially for their savoury breakfasts (pancake towers).
Cool ambience, delicious food. Small portion sizes and therefore the prices are unfortunately overpriced.
We ate deliciously here! We also found the decor very nice. Better to reserve a table in advance.
Interesting selection of food combinations, you have to try it yourself. In my opinion, a bit high-priced, service good and fast, good view on the 4th floor - the Alps are easy to see. Interesting and unusual furnishings and accessories can be purchased.
I've been to the power station very often and I'm always thrilled. The right mix of chic and casual. Great food, great wines and the Kraftwerk team always offers perfect accompaniment through the evening. The special evenings with wine tasting are another highlight.
Delicious food and nice ambience. Waiter was very nice. Unfortunately no waiter came by after receiving the food because we were sitting a bit apart.
Great service, delicious cuisine, phenomenal!
It has been a long time since we had such good service. Super nice, open-minded waiters, delicious food and a nice atmosphere on the roof terrace. We were absolutely thrilled and will definitely be back soon. Absolute recommendation!
First the positive: the food is delicious (breakfast). BUT: for a perfectly normal Crossiant 2.90 euros? Doesn't work at all Then the next one: the shop opens at 10 a.m., at 10.50 a.m. there were no more rolls. And now the icing on the cake 1 Euro "HYGIENE-EURO" is required per person - and that is not even included! We happened to see it because I got the bill. Is there anything more outrageous ????
absolutely great there. very friendly and accommodating. gladly again
Yesterday I went there with my daughter to eat spontaneously: very good food, friendly service in a cool location. Unfortunately it rained so that we could not sit on the roof terrace. If that still worked: 6 stars.
Beautiful ambience, the service is cheerful and friendly, the food is excellent and is served quickly. I don't know what to complain about :)
The rooftop Kare Kraftwerk restaurant is a world class establishment for the eager and the design-hungry hearths. Their cusine is so fine that you start mixing up design with gastronomy. Enjoy the real Munich lifestyle...
Super location with great food ? In the summer just a nice view and a nice ambience. Nice for dates, meetings and cozy evenings.
Interesting place. The location has a special flair. The food is very good. The menu is diverse, yet does not offer a lot of choice per category. (Vegetarian options are available) The prices are above average for Munich but ok.
Beautiful place with outside area and good food at reasonable prices
Great breakfast, great service. If you are in Munich you must see this place.
Nice and relaxing place with good service and food
A very cozy. Nice and organic restaurant with very delicious cuisine in a previously power station that amazingly converted to a small shopping center.
Nice location and delicious food. Attentive and friendly staff made our visit a great experience!
A friend of mine brought me to this restaurant. I have to admit that I was very sceptical about it since it seemed like a bistro type of restaurant. But to my surprise it was a fully blown restaurant with awsome staff and even better food. If I am in the area again I will show up.
Somewhat unusual was the way through the sales rooms to the restaurant, but the food was just excellent! A special highlight was watching the kitchen crew at work! Highly recommended!
Great fillet steak and exelent service. Cosy setting with a great view from the terrace.
I like to go to Die Küche im Kraftwerk. I really like the atmosphere and the roof terrace is great! There is a clear map with varied food. There is something for everyone. From the salad, over steak to noodles. At lunchtime there are changing lunch dishes. I'd like to come here. Criticism without deduction :-) The service is not always very professional, but what is more important to me, always very friendly. I can only recommend to everyone!
Nice food in cool surroundings. Most staff are friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the entire experience is weighted down by some staff who are unbelievably rude talking to you like you are a school child. This is a petty because it makes you leave the place in a bad mood. Shame.
On the 4th floor of the furniture city, just after entering the elevator, I heard the person next to him say his restaurant super lecker, so give it a try. The decoration is very modern industrial style, the seasoning in the German restaurant is really good, the fat and thin taste is also good, even if the children's pasta is not done, the children's meal is not small. There is an outdoor large balcony, the breakfast looks very good, when you have a good weather, sitting outside to eat a Brunch, still very comfortable. There is an underground parking lot in the furniture city to park, the first hour is free, and the back is 3 Euro/hour.
Coincidentally discovered after a stressful shopping marathon in Kare and in love directly. Starting with the friendly and competent service, up to the small but fine card everything is right here. The upper area is very nicely decorated and the roof terrace behind beautiful. Always changing creative dishes, accompanied by a great wine list. We would like to come again!
Very nice interior, good food. But unreasonable working hours, better give a call before going there
Styhlish
Great food! We ordered the entrecôte and the mushroom ravioli. Both dishes were really good and moderately priced. The waiters were attentive and nice. I enjoyed the design of the restaurant the best, open kitchen styled and very modern. It’s on the 4th floor, with an an amazing rooftop patio overlooking the city.
Really good food and friendly service. Felt like home.
I love this place. Open kitchen, very nice thoughtful menue and and amazing view while sitting. Many things like herbs, spices or right now fish cans you can buy after your meal. Try the starters, they always have great ideas. Wine selection is good aswell.
I love the food and design of the restaurant. Always a good choice. Come here for breakfast, lunch or cake.
High level cuisine in a particular environment. The skilful use of seasonal products, visible cooking, the location on top of an old thermo-electric power station, now the point of purchase of particular furnishings, the kind and pleasant staff make the Küche in Kraftwerk a restaurant to remember with pleasure.
Great view and delicious breakfast
Fantastic food, nice staff. Defiantly a nice spot to eat!
what you can expect: nice views, fun interior, industrial look, open kitchen, friendly staff, children play area, good food Overall I like this place a lot, though when planning an event, it got unprofessional. My emails landed in their spam, hence no response on the specifics for the event. I kind of had to push them to make a special menu, they do it only from 30 ppl and more. It’s great to offer a la carte but I think if you prefer to have a menu, it should be possible to do it for even less ppl. I mean what’s the harm in that? When discussing about the cake, I asked if we would have enough to get each person one piece. Well I had to order an additional cake, cause it wasn’t enough for everybody. Couldn’t order the same cake cause they didn’t have it. Their service is always friendly and they are always busy, which makes it hard at times to order sthg. I had to go several times to the kitchen asking for staff to come around. Although the place is perfect for bigger groups and events, I wouldn’t plan it there again bcs communication and service were not satisfying.
Great service, great atmosphere and amazing food. Really cool modern contemporary place.
Ok ish..
Great location for families. Great and fresh food with a twist. Great service.
Top
Everything is awesome about this place! The location inside an old power house which now hosts a fancy furniture store, the decor (from the same furniture store), the service, the view onto the Alps on clear days AND the amazing food! It's just a great concept and whole package! We come here for breakfast often and the coffee is great and all the food tastes great! Lunch and dinner, too. All the while not being too expensive nor overcrowded.
Very good food (restaurant quality!), friendly staff, but prices a bit higher than I would like.
Good quality, nice open-kitchen, very polite service, a little high price
Rather pricey for the quantity of breakfast yet the quality is good. Quite a lot of children during breakfasts on Sundays, so not the place for a quite chat.
great entrecot, friendly staff, open kitchen and amazing views and a bit pricy
Excellent service alongside with exceptional dishes. Picking the salad options is always a joy. the products are fresh from the kitchen and wisely put together. Highly recommended
